Bowen Road Slope Study Trail

The Geotechnical Engineering Office launched "Bowen Road Slope Study Trail" to facilitate teachers, students and public for a trip on common slope works in Hong Kong. The tour is along Bowen Road Fitness Trail, starting at Bowen Road Temporary Sitting-out Area and ending at Stubbs Road. The trip is around 3 km and it takes around 1 hour to complete. There are a number of Study Points in the tour to introduce particular kinds of slope works, including various landslip prevention and mitigation as well as slope landscaping measures.

We have installed an information board at each Study Point. Teachers, students and members of the public can know more about the slope works through self-guided tours. We also use Virtual Reality (VR) technology to visualize the virtual animation of slope works in real environment. Members of public can experience it by scanning the QR codes on the information board with the use of their mobile phones or tablets.

Members of the public can reach the "Bowen Road Slope Study Trail" via the following routes:

– 4 minutes walk from Bowen Road Garden to Point A of the Trail. Limited parking spaces are available at the Bowen Road Garden.

– 15 minutes walk from Exit A3 of Wan Chai MTR Station to Point C of the Trail, via Wan Chai Gap Road.

– 8 minutes walk from the junction of Stubbs Road and Bowen Road to Point H of the Trail.
