Mr. San Wong
San Wong graduated from University of California, Irvine with his Bachelor and Master degree in Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on face recognition and digital communication. San was an active member among Silicon Valley, Orange County startup communities and IEEE society. He joined a research center in Hong Kong afterwards and focused on applying AI technologies on logistic robots. San’s experience in AI research and development as well as his network in the startup community enable him to found Arical and R2C2 that develop geospatial AI and geoengineering robots respectively. San is an alumni of HKAI Lab, Taiwan AppWorks and Y Combinator Summer School. He will further develop his startup and technologies with Taiwan AWS and Nvidia Inception program to expand in the South East Asia area.
HAL: Human + AI League
Throughout the history of mankind, we have been exploring new energy and inventing new technologies. Each technological breakthrough pushes our civilization to the next level. With a steam engine, humans can travel at great distance; with the internet, information can travel around the world in a split of a second. Now, with advanced robotics, state of the art AI technologies and edge computing solution, we might be able to push our civilization to the next level with collaborative AI.
In this sharing session, we will introduce robots in various forms and explore how they integrate and collaborate with humans, especially with the professionals. Then we will go through some use cases in constructions as well as geoengineering work. While understanding the advantage of adopting AI and robotics, we will also study the limitations and required operation environment. By the end of this sharing session, we hope to give you a more structured concept of how AI and robots can adopt practically in your industry.
Collaborative AI and robotics have a lot of room for imagination, its application can closely related to space technologies. We will end our sharing session with a short trip to our imagination about how AI and robotics can be adopted in geoengineering work and construction in space exploration.
