The International Week on Geotechnology
The 4th Innotech Forum on Geotechnology
The Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) of the Civil Engineering and Development Department regularly organises the Innotech Forum on Geotechnology that aims to showcase our efforts in spearheading innovation and technology to manage geotechnical risks cost-effectively in Hong Kong through sharing knowledge and experience among internationally renowned experts, leading professionals and distinguished academics. It also fosters a collaborative environment that bridges the gap between research and practical applications. The first Innotech Forum was held in 2018, with subsequent forums taking place in 2019 and 2021. To continue the successes of the previous forums, the 4th Innotech Forum will be held back-to-back with the LAndslide Risk Assessment and Mitigation (LARAM) Course in the week-long event “International Week on Geotechnology” co-organised with The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to achieve the synergy of wider positive impact on the society.
The focus of the 4th Innotech Forum is landslide risk management against climate change impact and data driven innovations for enhancing excellence and resilience in geotechnical applications. It provides an interactive, coherent platform for stakeholders to inform their state-of-the-art advances in geotechnical applications that undoubtedly and relentlessly support the sustainable land and infrastructure developments in Hong Kong.
This forum is designed for one CPD day (6.0 hours). Attendance certificates will be issued after the event.
